Last week, we wrote that the updated version of Redmi AirDots was certified in Bluetooth SIG. Today, Xiaomi officially introduced the new headphones called Redmi AirDots S. Outwardly, the headphones are no different from the original model. There are not even new colors. However, the new TWS earphones have acquired new features.
The new Redmi AirDots S has changed the way you connect to the sound source. The previous model was paired by connecting the main earphone, which, in turn, was connected to a secondary one. In the new version, both headphones are connected to the device at the same time, without the need to pair them with each other. Any of the headphones can be used in mono mode.
Redmi AirDots S received a chip with support for Bluetooth 5.0. The company claims that the data transfer rate will double in comparison with the previous generation. Pairing will also happen faster and the connection will become more stable. A new low-latency playback mode will also appear.
The new headphones are equipped with 7.2 mm drivers and DSP to realize the function of intelligent noise reduction during a call. Battery life, like the previous generation, is 4 hours from a single charge. The case will provide two full charges. Headphones got support from Google Assistant, Siri and XiaoAI voice assistants.
The manufacturer said that the new headphones will keep the low price of its predecessor, which was only $ 15.
