ABC News -- General Motors has announced a new set of connected car features that the company plans to show off at the 2015 International CES this week in Las Vegas.
The automaker's subscription based OnStar program will launch AtYourService in the United States and Canada in the coming weeks. Road trippers will especially enjoy two features of the service: the ability to find and book a hotel through Priceline.com and another that locates the nearest Dunkin' Donuts. CES 2015: Acer Shows Off Its Biggest Chromebook Yet When a driver requests directions from an OnStar adviser, they'll also be served with coupons for their destination from RetailMeNot and Entertainment Book.
"We will continue to innovate in ways that make our customers' time on the road more efficient and more convenient," Mark Lloyd, consumer online officer for OnStar, said in a statement. OnStar annually receives 35 million requests for directions in North America, according to the company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of GM.
Lloyd said the plan is for the company to continue to find ways to leverage these interactions and provide drivers even more efficiency and value in the connected car.
The CES floor show begins on Tuesday in Las Vegas, featuring more than 3,500 companies showing off new gadgets and other innovations.
The connected car is expected to be one of the big themes of the annual gathering.
