Exynos Galaxy S20 suffers from overheating and poor battery life

Owners of Galaxy S20 series smartphones have faced a huge number of problems that are unacceptable in devices of this class. Many Galaxy S20 Ultra users with Exynos processors complain of autofocus problems. In addition, the flagship smartphone is constantly overheating, and the battery life with the active screen is miserable 3.5-4 hours, and this is with a 5000 mAh battery.

Samsung has already released several software updates that have partially improved autofocus in the Galaxy S20 Ultra, but the problem with overheating has not gone away. It affects all Galaxy S20 series smartphones equipped with the Exynos 990 processor. Tests confirm that Samsung's chipset is far from being as fast and energy efficient as Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, which are equipped with devices for the US market.

Galaxy S20 users with Exynos processors report that their devices overheat within minutes after the start of demanding games or when the camera is used for a long time. Due to the significant gap between Samsung and Qualcomm chips, fans of the brand began to collect signatures on a petition asking them to stop using Exynos processors in flagship devices.

The cost of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is $ 1,400, and users who shell out for such an expensive device are counting on its trouble-free operation. Perhaps Samsung will fix Galaxy S20 smartphones in the near future, however, in devices of this class, such problems should be solved before retail sales begin.
